Sharing Images or Documents

This has been posted by: Frank Jarboe on February 9, 2010
Our My Photo Book software makes some really cool books, but there's a problem .....If I'm creating a book for someone else, how do I share the preview of the book with them for their approval.  Well, there's a couple of solutions.

After you click the button, "sent to be printed," the software automatically creates a .pdf file for you to preview.  You can save that preview, using Adobe Acrobat Reader, to your local drive for your customer to see.  It will have "Proof" across the pages so it cannot be locally printed.

There is no direct link for viewing the document in this version of the software - something we're looking for in a future release coming soon - but you've got a couple of options.
1.  If you have a full version of Adobe Acrobat, you can use it to create a low resolution copy of the saved preview that can be attached to an email.
2.  You can use a service like Goggle Docs http://docs.google.com to securely share the preview with your client and as many family members as you choose.... I was able to sign up and share my first document in about 10 minutes.  It's fast and secure and free.  You can see a preview of Google Docs on You Tube.  Sign up here - and start sharing!

School : New Classes and Features

This has been posted by: John Madrigal on February 8, 2010
Remember when you enjoyed learning? The great thing about that is the option is still there. We have a new list of classes in the line up under the Photography School, and if you have ever had a passion for learning photography or Photoshop, take the time to sign up for one of our classes.

Eventually, there will be an online registration form for people who would like to sign up ahead of time. It should be coming very soon, along with new classes. We already have some fun and interesting classes up, including a Photoshop class coming up at the end of this month on the 23rd and 25th.

Feel free to comment on classes you would like to see happen here at Shutterbug Photo Mall. Also, anyone who signs up for a class will have access to the screencast for that class online. Take some time! Check out our classes by clicking here.

This has been posted by: Jim Roshan on January 21, 2010
Well, we finally did it! We now have a blog to keep up with as if we weren't busy enough to begin with. But, we decided this would be the best way to keep in contact with our clients due to the fast changing nature of the photo business. We will use this forum to keep everyone updated as things change in our industry or with our company. So I highly recommend that you follow us a much as you can because there will be as many as (8-10) people here that will be constantly updating this blog!!

So stay tuned.... the madness has started!!
